Start with the institutions
Graubünden’s research landscape spans higher education, environmental science, medicine and other disciplines. Academia Raetica maintains an institutional directory that helps newcomers find the organisations relevant to their field.
Two useful starting points
The University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons (FH Graubünden) provides information about degree programmes and applied research. The WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF in Davos publishes research and services relating to snow, avalanches, permafrost and mountain ecosystems.
Plan a focused search
Identify a research question first, then look for a group working on it. Read recent publications, check the institution’s current vacancies and contact the named person for the project. A general regional directory is an orientation aid, not evidence of a specific job opening.
